About The Center for Healthy Medicine
The vision of the Center for Healthy Medicine
is to inspire truth and to restore trust in medicine.
The CHM is a 501 (c)(3) non profit organization whose purpose
is to provide educational support for the general public,
business, and governmental sectors in creating an effective and affordable healthcare system. This means striking
a new path by supporting the emergence of Healthy Medicine
as the primary form of healthcare practiced in the United
States.
The term "Healthy Medicine" speaks to the breadth of the transformation of healthcare that is needed today, so that medicine once again becomes a healthy institution devoted to helping people heal.
The term includes the gradual transition towards integrative medicine that is happening throughout the nation. It also embraces the broad economic shifts that are necessary in both medicine and all aspects of local and national life. Finally, it embodies a level of integrity, authenticity, transparency and participation that is lacking today in health care.
Our Mission
The purpose of the Center for Healthy Medicine is to support
the ongoing emergence of an effective and affordable alternative
to the current American “sickness care” system
through the principles, practice and funding of Healthy
Medicine. Towards that end, the CHM offers education and
support to individuals and groups working to transform
the healthcare system and/or create new forms of living
economies with the power to improve public health.
